Homicide investigation launched over death following ‘altercation’ at Charlie Lake boat ramp
The Fort St. John RCMP were called to the Charlie Lake boat ramp at around 11:10 p.m. on March 13th to reports of several people in an “altercation.” One person has died after the incident and a homicide investigation has been launched.

CHARLIE LAKE, B.C. — Police officers are investigating a potential homicide at Charlie Lake.
The Fort St. John RCMP were called to the Charlie Lake boat ramp at around 11:10 p.m. on March 13th after hearing reports that several people were in an “altercation.”
One person had sustained serious injuries, and was taken to hospital by their friends, but later succumbed to their injuries.

The North District Major Crime Unit is investigating, but says it was an isolated incident.
The Charlie Lake boat ramp and the surrounding area has been closed while investigators process the scene and gather evidence.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage is asked to contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8140.
