Application for a New Permit Under The Provisions of the Environmental Management Act
We, Coelacanth Energy Inc., Suite 2110, 530 – 8th Avenue SW, Calgary, AB T2P 3S8, intend to submit this application to the Director to authorize the discharge of air emissions from a processing battery. The sources of discharge include two (2) compressors, three (3) natural gas generators, one (1) Glycol Dehydrator Reboiler, one (1) oil treater, one (1) Fuel Gas Conditioning Reboiler, one (1) backup generator, and one (1) dual emergency flare stack.
The land upon which the facility will be situated, and the discharge will occur is 16-03-083-15 W6M, located 63 km from Fort St. John, BC, within the Peace River District.
The routine maximum total rate of air emissions discharged from this facility will be 12.10 mÂł/Âs. The operating period for this facility will be (24 hours/day). The maximum routine characteristics of the waste discharged are as follows. NOx: 1.65 g/s, CO: 7.81 g/s, TPs: 0.04 g/s, VOCs: 3.99 g/s, and SOx: 0 g/s. The maximum non-routine maximum total rate of air emissions discharged from this facility will be 45.38 mÂł/s. The maximum non-routine characteristics of the waste discharged are as follows. NOx: 31.59 g/s, CO: 144.28 g/s, TPs: 52.87, VOCs: 65.60 g/s, and SOx: 73.01 g/s. The type of treatment to be applied to the discharge is All equipment includes lean burn technology with automatic air fuel ratio control and ignition/detonation controls.
Any person who may be adversely affected by the proposed discharge of waste and wishes to provide relevant information may, within 30 days after the last date of posting, publishing, service or display, send written comments to the applicant, with a copy to the BC Energy Regulator, Supervisor Environmental Stewardship at 6534 100th Ave, Fort St John, BC, VIJ 8C5, Waste.Management@bc-er.ca. The identity of any respondents and the contents of anything submitted in relation to this application will become part of the public record.
