FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek provincial courts between February 9th and February 13th.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, February 9th

Richard John Calliou (born 1973)

Calliou was found guilty of personation with the intent to avoid arrest on July 4th, 2025 in Fort St. John. 

They were sentenced to jail time served.

They were also found guilty of theft of a motor vehicle and flight from police on September 26th, 2025 in Maple Ridge.

They were sentenced to jail time served and jail for 10 days. They were also issued a driving prohibition for three years. 

Garett Allen Cazes (born 1982) 

Cazes was found guilty of unlawfully being in an occupied house on March 22nd, 2023 in Fort St. John. 

They were sentenced to 90 days in jail and issued a firearms prohibition for 10 years. 

Christopher Arthur Harding (born 1982)

Harding was found guilty of breaching a probation order on November 14th, 2024 in Fort St. John. 

They were handed a jail-term-served sentence and were ordered to pay a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime. 

Harding was also found guilty of driving with a prohibited or suspended licence on April 2nd, 2024 in Fort St. John. 

For that, they were handed a driving prohibition for one year.  

Arlen Kane Marshall (born 1982) 

Marshall was found guilty of driving while prohibited on September 22nd, 2025 and October 26th, 2025 in Fort St. John. 

They were fined $1,000, issued a driving prohibition for two years and were ordered to pay $150 as a victim surcharge. 

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, February 10th

Russell John Holland (born 1973)

Holland was found guilty of breaching a probation order on November 29th, 2024 in Tumbler Ridge. 

They were fined $700 and were ordered to pay $210 as a victim surcharge. They were also subject to forfeiture – which allows the government to seize property and assets ‘tainted’ by crime. 

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, February 11th

Curtis Mitchell Bronswyk (born 2002) 

Bronswyk was found guilty of possessing substances for the purpose of trafficking on October 26th, 2024 in Fort St. John. 

They were handed a conditional sentence, which is to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called ‘house arrest,’ for 12 months. 

They were also given a DNA order, ordered to report for sample collection and issued a probation order for nine months. 

They were also handed a lifetime firearms prohibition and were ordered to pay $200 as a victim surcharge. 

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, February 13th

Allan Jacob Gundlach (born 1984)

Gundlach was found guilty of breaching a release order and possessing stolen property worth over $5,000 on January 21st, 2025 in Dawson Creek. 

They were handed a conditional sentence for 180 days and are subject to forfeiture.
