Pouce Coupe to determine cost of water and sewer infrastructure upgrades
The Village of Pouce Coupe is moving forward with its 2026 Infrastructure Master Plan, including developing a Water System Capital Improvement Plan and finishing a Sewer System Capital Improvement Plan.

POUCE COUPE, B.C. — The Village of Pouce Coupe has agreed to evaluate its current water and sewer infrastructure in order to determine how much it may cost to upgrade the system.
On January 22nd, the village issued a press release to announce it is moving forward with its 2026 Infrastructure Master Plan, with a focus on “upstream system assets.”
This means it will be developing a Water System Capital Improvement Plan and finishing a Sewer System Capital Improvement Plan.
These projects will evaluate the current system’s performance, identify weaknesses and establish how much upgrading could cost.
Cllr Ray Johnston, acting mayor for the village, said: “Council is excited to renew its focus on village water and sewer assets in 2026.
“By getting the facts before we spend the money, Council is building a clear plan of what water and sewer assets to fix and in what order.”
This work builds upon “significant investments in stabilizing its wastewater lagoon system” in recent years, the village said.
