Regulator confirms underage patron ‘enforcement activities’ on liquor licensees in Fort St. John
The Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) confirmed to Energeticcity.ca that enforcement activities related to underage patrons have been taken in the Fort St. John region.

FORT ST. JOHN, — The liquor licence regulator has confirmed it has taken “enforcement activities” in Fort St. John.
Energeticcity.ca reached out to the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch after becoming aware of rumours circulating Fort St. John that restaurants in the city lost their liquor licences temporarily.
The Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General said: “The LCRB can confirm enforcement activities related to underage patrons have been undertaken recently in the Fort St. John region.”
However, it would not respond to speculation about individual liquor licences.
The ministry further added: “Licensing and enforcement decisions follow established regulatory processes and are only communicated publicly once finalized.”
It is against the law to sell liquor to under 19s in B.C. and private businesses holding licences to sell alcohol must have policies to ensure adherence.
According to the LCRB, it can suspend licences, hand out “monetary penalties,” cancel or transfer licences or amend licence terms in order to enforce the law.
