DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Residents near Kin Park may notice an increased emergency-style presence on Thursday evening.

According to a Facebook post from South Peace Search and Rescue (SPSAR), a training exercise will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 8th, beginning near Dawson Creek and District Hospital and extending throughout the Kin Park area.

During the exercise, SPSAR warned members of the public may see search teams, vehicles, headlamps, radios and other equipment commonly used during emergency responses.

SPSAR emphasized that the activity is strictly for training purposes.

“There is no emergency, and no one is missing,” the post reads.

The organization thanked residents for their understanding and ongoing support.
