Person charged after reports of Dawson Creek gunfire to go to trial

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — A person accused after a reported shooting in Dawson Creek is proceeding to trial. 

The trial for Jessie Williams Freeman, born 1992, is set to commence on July 6th, 2026. 

Freeman was charged with occupying a vehicle knowing a firearm was present after a reported shooting incident in Dawson Creek on January 17th.

Police responded to a report of gunfire on 119th Avenue at approximately 1 a.m.
