Police seek man wanted on multiple charges, including sexual assault

Wanted Ralph Junior Achla, 43, has been charged with uttering threats, obstruction of a peace officer, impaired operation of a motor vehicle and sexual assault.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Fort St. John RCMP are searching for a wanted man on a collection of charges.

Ralph Junior Achla is being pursued on several outstanding warrants, according to a press release issued on Friday, January 2nd.

They include charges for uttering threats, obstruction of a peace officer, impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operation of a conveyance with over 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood and two counts of sexual assault.

The 43-year-old is described as an Indigenous man, standing five feet ten inches tall, weighing 166 pounds and with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with details regarding Achla’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Fort St. John RCMP detachment at 250-787-8100.

A guy who found his calling later in life, Edward Hitchins is a professional storyteller with a colourful and extensive history.

Beginning his journey into journalism in 2012 at Seneca College, Edward also graduated from Humber College with an Advanced Diploma in Print and Broadcast Journalism in 2018.  After time off from his career and venturing into other vocations, he started his career proper in 2022 in Campbell River, B.C.

In a way, he hopes this position will allow both himself and Energeticcity to grow as a collective unit as his career moves forward and evolves into the next step.

He looks forward to growing both as a reporter and as a human being while being posted in Fort St. John.
