Photo gallery: Fort St. John sees near-record snowfall in December 2025

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Near-record snowfall has fallen on Fort St. John this December, with residents sharing photos of the accumulation.

So far this month, from December 1st to 28th, Environment Canada-operated weather stations in Fort St. John have recorded 103.9 centimetres of snowfall.

After over 50 cm of snow fell in the first 15 days of the month, the City of Fort St. John brought in contractors to assist with snow removal and management on roads throughout the city.

Days later, with snowfall totals rising to 80.9 cm, Environment Canada reported the region had seen 300 per cent of its average December snowfall in just 18 days.

2025 has seen the most snowfall recorded in Fort St. John in the month of December since 2013’s total of 135.6 cm.
