Earthquake of 3.4 magnitude hits near Taylor

Earthquakes Canada reported an 3.4 magnitude earthquake 12 kilometres from Taylor.

TAYLOR, B.C. — An earthquake with a magnitude of more than three was recorded this morning near Taylor. 

Earthquakes Canada recorded a 3.4-magnitude earthquake this morning at 7:53 a.m. local time. 

The earthquake happened 12 kilometres south-southwest of Taylor and at a depth of six kilometres.

The update said this event is “suspected to be industry related.”

This comes after a 4.6 magnitude earthquake was reported near Fort St. John on October 4th and four in five days in February, all between 3.1 and 4.4 in magnitude.
