The story – Family affair: Three generations of one family share a passion for Huskies’ hockey – is in the running for an accolade in the Best Local Community News/Sports category.
It was written by Ed Hitchins, a Local Journalism Initiative reporter at Energeticcity.ca, and is about the members of one family who are involved in the Fort St. John Huskies hockey team.

This nomination comes after Moose FM was named 2025 Small Market Station of the Year by the Broadcast Dialogue Canadian Radio Awards.

Hitchins said the nominations are “surreal”: “The nomination for a COPA award is almost surreal to me.
“I am still coming to terms with my name being mentioned with the best in Canada.
