Man arrested on warrant for alleged summer firearms incident in Dawson Creek

DAWSON CREEK, B.C.— Police have arrested a 37-year-old on an outstanding warrant after an alleged firearms incident in Dawson Creek in June 2025. 

Corporal Brett Urano, divisions media relations officer for RCMP E Division HQ, confirmed Jesse Ray Stevens was arrested on firearms charges and is being held in custody by the courts. 

According to Court Services Online, Stevens faces multiple charges for an incident which allegedly took place on June 7th, 2025 in Dawson Creek.

This comes after police investigated reports of gunshots being fired in the city on that day at 6:14 p.m.

The shots were allegedly fired in the 91A Avenue area. There were no injuries reported at that time.

  1. Discharge of firearms/reckless of others life/safety
  2. Possession of firearms contrary to order 
  3. Possession of body armour without permit
  4. Loaded/unloaded with ammunition prohibited/restricted firearm 
  5. Pointing a firearm 
  6. Take or occupy a vehicle or vessel without consent of owner 
  7. Altering or defacing firearm serial number

Stevens is set to appear in court on December 18th, 2025 for a bail hearing.
