The FSJWRS was awarded $10,000 to support its Outreach Store and its Christmas community support program.

Estefania Albornoz, fundraising and community engagement manager for the FSJWRS, told Energeticcity.ca the funding will have a direct impact during the organization’s busiest season.

“This contribution plays an important role in helping us ensure families and individuals in our community have access to essential items and meaningful support during the holiday season,” she said.

The Outreach Store also recently received $2,500 worth of food donations from the Peace Valley Oriented Strand Board team of Louisiana Pacific Building Solutions amid high demand and a supply shortage.

The Fort St. John Seniors Citizens’ Association shared on its FSJ Seniors Hall Facebook account it was awarded $5,000 for its lunch program, while Beem’s news release said it would also support the installation of a new roof for the hall.
