FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Gallagher Christmas lights display is back and brighter than ever this holiday season.

Sean Gallagher confirmed all 300,000 lights are now lit up across a sprawling one-kilometre route on his property, located between West Bypass Road and 244th Road on the outskirts of Fort St. John.

According to Gallagher, the drive-through display will run nightly from approximately 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. until January 15th, with extended hours throughout the week of Christmas when the lights stay on all night.

“[This year], I have mostly added a bunch of lights in the trees and a few smaller displays,” Gallagher told Energeticcity.ca

Visitors can access the display from either of two entrances, off West Bypass Road or 244th Road, and are welcome to get out of their vehicles to walk around.

For more than two decades, Gallagher has been creating Christmas displays for the public, and since moving outside of town around 10 years ago, he’s transformed his property into an expansive holiday spectacle.

In keeping with tradition, this year’s display supports a local cause. Gallagher is donating to the North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre, and a donation box is set up in front of a small church on the property for visitors who wish to contribute.
