Dawson Creek launches new tourism website to promote city, attractions, events

The new Tourism Dawson Creek website aims to better promote the city to potential visitors and to help residents more easily locate information.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The City of Dawson Creek has launched a new tourism website.

In a November 19th news release, the city said the refreshed Tourism Dawson Creek website includes a modern layout, updated navigation and additional features highlighting Dawson Creek’s attractions, events and visitor services. 

According to the city, one aim of the new site is to better promote the community to potential travellers, both regional and international.

The city also stated the updated design is meant to help users more easily locate information on local amenities, activities and upcoming events.

Residents and visitors can subscribe online for tourism updates.

Tourism Dawson Creek is also inviting local organizations, businesses and community groups to submit public events to its online calendar.

Eligible submissions include arts, culture and entertainment events, community gatherings, food and drink activities and sports or outdoor adventure listings.

Regular classes, programs or advertisements are not accepted due to the city only wanting publicly-accessible events.
