Dawson Creek firefighters extinguish ‘suspicious’ car blaze

The City of Dawson Creek Fire Rescue says crews extinguished a vehicle on fire on November 16th at around 2 p.m., with the cause of the blaze being deemed as “suspicious.”

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Dawson Creek firefighters extinguished a car blaze yesterday afternoon.

According to a Facebook post from the department, firefighters were dispatched shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 16th to the area of 8th Street and 115th Avenue, where a vehicle was found on fire. 

According to the City of Dawson Creek Fire Rescue, crews quickly brought the flames under control and were able to limit the damage it caused to nearby properties.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but the department said it is being treated as “suspicious” and remains under investigation.
