DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Water has been shut down and a road closure has been established in part of Dawson Creek today due to maintenance work.
According to a Facebook post from the city, crews are completing water main valve replacements along 90th Avenue on Tuesday, November 4th, at the intersections with 9th and 10th Streets.
The work is expected to last for 12 hours, starting at 8 a.m. on the 4th.

While it’s being done, water will be shut off for several residences in the area as well as the nearby Rotary Manor and South Peace Child Development Centre.
Traffic control and barricades are also set up in the affected area.
The entry to Rotary Manor will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic for the duration of the work, and motorists will only have partial access to the affected portion of 90th Avenue.
Residents who frequently drive through the area are urged to find alternate routes. The Child Development Centre is closed for the day due to the work.
