FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A local non-profit is accepting Secret Santa nominations for seniors in the Fort St. John area.

The Peace Seniors Connect and Care Society has asked residents to submit the names and contact details of seniors who might benefit from the Secret Santa initiative, which isn’t a Christmas hamper but “just a little something extra special on the side.”

If no wish list is provided, recipients will most likely receive a gift card to a local store.

A separate call for volunteers to sponsor a senior will begin on November 12th.

The Peace Seniors Connect and Care Society was created in 2016 and became a non-profit society in 2020 to help bring some cheer to local seniors, who may not have had any holiday visitors or gifts.

Nominees can be sent by text to 250-262-9154 or by email at nssccs2020@gmail.com. All Peace Villa residents are already included on the list and do not need to be nominated.
