Man found beaten in Baldonnel ditch prompts RCMP appeal
RCMP in Fort St. John are investigating a potential aggravated assault incident after a man was found beaten in a ditch in Baldonnel on October 16th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A man was beaten so badly there were “injuries to the majority of his body” and left in a ditch in Baldonnel.Â
In an October 29th press release, the Fort St. John RCMP announced they were seeking information from the public to support an investigation into the potential aggravated assault incident on October 16th.
RCMP responded to a report of a man lying injured in a ditch of the 238 Road near the 253 Road in Baldonnel at 7:44 a.m. on October 16th.Â

“Frontline RCMP members, the fire department and BC Emergency Health Services members attended and found a conscious but incoherent 37-year-old male in the ditch,” the release stated.Â
The man was found to have “injuries to the majority of his body,” and was transported to the Fort St. John Hospital, where he received treatment and was intubated for several days.Â
The injuries are believed to have been the result of an assault, and the RCMP are looking for anyone who has dashcam or surveillance footage, information about the victim, the incident or the circumstances surrounding it to come forward.Â
