DEVELOPMENT OF A PEST MANAGEMENT PLAN

As per the Integrated Pest Management Regulation of British Columbia, Section 61(1) this is Public Notification that:
Cenovus Energy Inc. is renewing an Integrated Pest Management Plan (IPMP) under the BC Integrated Pest Management Regulation (IPMR). Vegetation management will be performed on facilities, rights-ofway, and related infrastructure within the province of British Columbia which includes Northern BC encompassing the Peace River Regional District as well as the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality. Cenovus Energy has field locations in regions such as: Fort St. John, Fort Nelson, Buick, Rose Prairie, Taylor, & Dawson Creek within British Columbia. Under these regulations this plan is required to be updated every 5 years (the proposed term of this plan is five years from June 2026 to June 2031).
Select treatments including mechanical, manual, preventative and herbicides will be used to control growth of unwanted vegetation. This plan ensures reduced fire risk, maximized public safety and access to facilities and rights-of-way for maintenance and operational data collection. These select treatment applications may also be used in accordance with the Weed Control Act by orders from the B.C. Ministry or local jurisdictional authorities. Herbicides will be applied to facilities and in specific cases for invasive species control. Herbicides will be applied at low application rates, by backpack sprayers with wands for selective foliar and soil applications and ATVs with spray tanks and power nozzles for foliar applications. The use of pesticides is intended within the area to which the IPMP applies.

•Herbicide active ingredients proposed under this program include: Glyphosate, Aminopyralid, Metsulfuron-methyl, Picloram, Triclopyr, 2,4-D Amine, MCPA, Clopyralid, Aminocyclopyrachlor, Propyzamide, Indaziflam, Flumioxazin, Pyroxasulfone, Saflufenacil, Diflufenzopyr, Dicamba, Imazapyr, Acetic Acid.
•Trade names: RT540, Milestone, Clearview, Tordon 22K, Garlon XRT, 2,4-D Amine 600, MCPA 600, Transline, Lontrel 360, Navius VM, Kerb SC Esplanade SC, Torpedo, Detail, Overdrive, Banvel, Arsenal, Munger Vinegar Plus.
