Small wildfire near Fort St. John now ‘being held’

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A wildfire located near Fort St. John is now ‘being held’, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).

The latest update on the BCWS website shows the blaze — located just south of the Peace River near the city — is no longer expected to expand beyond its current boundaries.

Its size also remains unchanged at two hectares. The fire was discovered by the BCWS on Sunday, September 21st, burning ‘out of control’ for several hours.
