DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Enbridge is preparing for its next round of open houses on a natural gas pipeline expansion.
The open houses, scheduled in Dawson Creek and Groundbirch next month, will focus on the proposed Birch Grove program, a project aimed at expanding the northern portion of the company’s natural gas pipeline system.
The sessions will be held on October 15th in Dawson Creek and October 16th in Groundbirch, following the project’s first open house in Taylor earlier this week.

The event, hosted at the Taylor Community Hall on September 15th, drew questions about the project’s scope, timelines and how local services such as worker accommodation may be considered.

According to Enbridge’s senior communications advisor Rawnna Low, feedback from these sessions will “help inform the project’s overall design.”
The Birch Grove Program is an expansion of the T-North section of the natural gas pipeline system, which runs between Fort Nelson and Fort St. John. If approved, the expansion would add up to 178 million cubic feet per day of natural gas transportation capacity.
