Trackers hockey programs seek sponsors for upcoming season

The North East BC Trackers U-15 and U-18 programs are looking for sponsors for bus windows, banners and fuel sponsorship.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John Minor Hockey Association’s Trackers programs are seeking sponsors as they drop the puck on another season.

Both the U-15 and U-18 North East BC Trackers programs have posted on Facebook in the search for assistance with costs for the 2025-26 season.

“Our community is built on teamwork, dedication and a passion for the game,” reads part of the post from the U-18 program. “We provide a high-performance, development pathway for dedicated athletes aged 13 to 18.”

The U-15 program’s post reads: “Sponsoring our local hockey program is a high-impact, low-cost way to promote your business while giving back to your community.”

Sponsors are sought for bus window sponsorship, banner sponsorship at home games and fuel sponsorship to travel to away games.

Bus sponsorship costs $2,500 for a two-year commitment, while banner sponsorship is $500 for the entire season.

Both teams had success last season in the Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL).

The U-15 program finished atop the AEHL’s North Division with a record of 29 wins, one loss and two ties, while the U-18 squad finished their regular season with a record of 20 wins, eight losses and four ties.

The U-15 Trackers also finished second at the B.C. U-15 provincial championship, a third consecutive year they captured a medal.  

Meanwhile, the U-18 program captured bronze at the B.C. U-18 provincial championship.

A guy who found his calling later in life, Edward Hitchins is a professional storyteller with a colourful and extensive history.

Beginning his journey into journalism in 2012 at Seneca College, Edward also graduated from Humber College with an Advanced Diploma in Print and Broadcast Journalism in 2018.  After time off from his career and venturing into other vocations, he started his career proper in 2022 in Campbell River, B.C.
