DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — South Peace residents are being invited to select the winners for the 2025 Dawson Creek Community Awards.

The city’s Chamber of Commerce has opened online voting to determine the winners. They will be revealed at an upcoming award gala, presented by the chamber and the city, in November.

The community awards are meant to celebrate “remarkable individuals, businesses, non-profits and organizations” throughout the community of Dawson Creek.

This year, there are seven categories: citizen, business, entrepreneur, inclusive workplace, youth, non-profit and volunteer of the year.

Last year’s winners include the Dawson Co-op, Mona McNally, Krista Nugyen-Forshner, South Peace Search and Rescue, the Ark Christian Youth Centre and School District 59.

Voting will remain open until September 20th. The actual awards gala is being held on November 6th at the Co-op Mercer Hall in Dawson Creek.
