Fort Nelson Co-op Gas Bar closed due to ‘maintenance issue’
The Fort Nelson Co-op Gas Bar is currently closed due to an “ongoing maintenance issue.”

FORT NELSON, B.C. — Fort Nelson residents who favour the local Co-op might need to change where they get fuel for their vehicles for the coming days.
According to a Facebook post on the Fort St. John Co-op’s page from August 24th at 11:36 a.m., the Fort Nelson Co-op Gas Bar is currently closed due to an “ongoing maintenance issue.”

According to marketing coordinator Opeyemi Gazali, the closure began after a potential issue with a tank vent was identified by workers as a result of ongoing construction at the site.
“We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience,” the post reads.
It also encourages anyone who fueled up their vehicles at the Fort Nelson location on August 23rd to “contact us directly” if any vehicle issues arise.
“We are fully committed to assisting any impacted members or customers and making sure everything is right,” it reads.

In the meantime, the convenience store at the Fort Nelson Gas Bar remains open. Energeticcity.ca attempted to contact a representative from the Co-op and did not immediately receive a response.
