Fort St. John elementary school vandalized with graffiti
The vandalism to Robert Ogilvie Elementary School was reported on Saturday, August 9th after likely taking place the previous night.
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A Fort St. John school was the target of vandalism last week.
Photos from a Facebook post, which now appears to be deleted, showed the outside of Robert Ogilvie Elementary School spray-painted with crude drawings and obscene language.
School District 60, of which Robert Ogilvie Elementary is a part, confirmed the incident was reported to the RCMP on the morning of August 9th, after likely taking place the night before.Â
The district’s secretary treasurer Angela Telford said district staff have since cleaned up the damage.Â
The identity of the vandal is not yet known.
“There is not much information to share,” Telford said in a statement to Energeticcity.ca. “The vandalism was reported to the RCMP and the vandalism has been cleaned up by district staff.”
Robert Ogilvie Elementary, located in the city’s northeast, serves kindergarten to Grade 6 students in the Fort St. John area.
