Trio accused of manslaughter scheduled to consult with counsel

All three people charged with manslaughter after an incident in Fort St. John on June 24th are set to return to court on August 18th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — All three people charged with manslaughter earlier this summer in Fort St. John are set to return to court next week.

Katlin Coda, Dyllon Cazes and Ethan Dore were all arrested in late June following a police investigation into an incident where the victim of an alleged assault was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead.

That incident took place on June 24th in the Fort St. John Alliance Church parking lot on 99th Avenue.

According to Court Services Online, following a series of scheduling hearings, all three are now set to return to court on Monday, August 18th, to consult with counsel.

A publication ban is in effect covering the details of the accused’s bail hearings. 

Meanwhile, the Fort St. John RCMP detachment’s investigation into the manslaughter incident continues. Anyone with further information is urged to contact the detachment at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
