Updated, August 13th, 1:15 p.m.: Power has been restored to the affected area described in the article below.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Hundreds of BC Hydro customers are currently without power in Charlie Lake.

According to BC Hydro’s outage map, 351 customers in the area lost power at roughly 11:16 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13th.

The cause of the outage is currently under investigation. BC Hydro claims the outage is centred on an area west of 273 Road and south of Tamarack Road.

According to the utility, a crew has been assigned and dispatched to resolve the outage. The estimated restoration time is currently 1:15 p.m.
