The Best Restaurants in Fort St John

In the spring of 2025, we here at Moose Media ran the North Peace People’s Choice Awards. With these awards, the people of the North Peace region voted on who was the best of the best in a wide variety of categories. You can find the full list here, but we wanted to share some of the winners and runner-ups in specific categories to help showcase the awesome businesses and organizations that make our region a great place to live.

In this article, we are showcasing the best restaurants in the North Peace as voted by the people who live here. These restaurants offer great options in a wide variety of cuisines. If you know someone who is new in town feel free to share this list or, if you’ve lived here for a while and want to try something new, make sure to check them out.

#1: MR MIKES

9324 Alaska Road North, Fort St John, BC

For the second year in a row, MR MIKES has been voted the Best Overall Restaurant in the North Peace. Here is what Chief Experience Officer Athul had to say about the restaurant:

#2: Audielicious

9720 100th Street, Fort St John, BC

Established in 2019, Audielicious is a seafood restaurant that covers lunch and dinner options. While they offer different cuisines such as Mexican, Asian, and Western, they were voted the Best Filipino food in the region as well as Best Fish and Best Seafood in the 2025 North Peace People’s Choice Awards.

#3: North Bar & Grill

9830 100th Avenue, Fort St John, BC

According to General Manager Angela, North Bar & Grill is one-of-a-kind, upscale-causal, global fare restaurant offering a “big city” vibe in a small town with an intimate and friendly atmosphere. They make most of their menu items in-house and craft their own cocktails for a unique dining experience in Fort St. John. North Bar & Grill has a delicious daily dinner features, a truly gluten-free menu, and a long list of BC-based draft beer and wine selections. Located inside the Northern Grand Hotel, the restaurant concepts in the hotel have varied over the 40+ years that the hotel has operated – previously a White Spot, an Irish pub called JD Fitzgeralds, and Overtime Sports Bar & Grille, but “North Bar & Grill” is the best fit yet. They aim to be locals’ first choice for special occasions, catching up with friends, or business lunches and dinners.

#4: Browns Socialhouse

9719 100th Street, Fort St John, BC

Browns Socialhouse offers a variety of different food and beverage options to ensure everyone in your group is satisfied. According to their website, they have a stylish yet relaxed environment that offers a balance of “neighbourhood pub” and “upscale casual dining.” They also have their Social Hour, brunch menu on the weekends, and plenty of TVs to watch the big game.

#5: TJ’s Country Kitchen

10688 Alder Road, Fort St John, BC

Located along the Alaska Highway, TJ’s Country Kitchen was voted the Best Breakfast, Best Brunch, Best Pancakes, and Best Poutine in the 2025 North Peace People’s Choice Awards. Specializing in breakfast and lunch, TJ’s offers a warm welcome and great homestyle cooking.
