Police officers in Fort St. John are investigating a series of incidents at various local barbershops.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Police officers in Fort St. John are investigating a series of incidents at various local barbershops.
According to a press release from the city’s RCMP detachment, at roughly 2:20 a.m. on July 5th, a break-in occurred at a barbershop at the corner of 93rd Avenue and 96A Street, and a suspect was spotted on surveillance cameras.

Police did not name the shop where the break-in took place, but The Premium Barbershop is located on 96A Street. Energeticcity.ca called the barbershop for confirmation and did not receive an answer.
Several days later on July 12th, an arson occurred at Golden Hands Barbershop on 100th Street, and immediately after, The Barbershop — located in the nearby Mackenzie Mall — had its window smashed in an act of vandalism.

In an interview with Energeticcity.ca, the owner of both of the latter two locations claimed he was offering a $5,000 reward for information regarding the perpetrator, saying he believed the incidents to be deliberate attacks.

Police officers now say they believe the arson and vandalism incidents are connected, as a white flat-deck pickup truck was seen leaving the scene of the arson and arriving at the scene of the vandalism.
