CHETWYND, B.C. — The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) is looking for feedback from residents about a parcel of land south of Chetwynd.
According to a Facebook post from the district, the PRRD is hosting a public hearing in early August to discuss amending its Official Community Plan (OCP) and a zoning bylaw as it considers a development application.
If approved, the amendments would see two properties on Laws Road re-designated and re-zoned, so the properties could be used as “a laydown yard for a trucking company.”
Residents interested in voicing their thoughts and concerns can attend the meeting on August 13th at 6 p.m. at the Chetwynd and District Recreation Centre on North Access Road.
People who are unable to attend can also submit written comments at the PRRD’s office in Dawson Creek until August 12th at 4 p.m.
