The Best Pizza in the North Peace

In the spring of 2025, we here at Moose Media ran the North Peace People’s Choice Awards. With these awards, the people of the North Peace region voted on who was the best of the best in a wide variety of categories. You can find the full list here, but we wanted to share some of the winners and runner-ups in specific categories to help showcase the awesome businesses and organizations that make our region a great place to live.

Pizza is the great uniter and divider when it comes to food. With so many different styles and topping combinations, everyone has an opinion on pizza, including the residents of Fort St John as this was one of the most contentious categories when it came to voting. Below, we have the top five pizza places in the area that all provide a different eating experience so there is definitely something for everyone.

#1: Red Tomato Pies

10113 100th Street, Fort St John, BC

Although they only opened in Fort St John recently, they have already made an impact by being voted the Best Pizza in the North Peace. According to their website, Red Tomato Pies infuse every pizza with fresh ideas and the finest ingredients. Their menu includes Meat, Chicken, Hawaiian, Seafood, and Veggie pizzas or you can custom make your own. Located in the heart of downtown, make sure to give them a try!

#2: Olio’s Pizzeria & Eatery

9016 100th Avenue, Fort St John, BC

A mainstay in Fort St John, Olio’s Pizzeria & Eatery offers gourmet-inspired artisan-style pizza. According to the owner, Marilyn, they use premium ingredients and are always trying new topping combinations that keep customers coming back. While they offer the classics such as pepperoni and Hawaiian, they branch out with signature creations such as the Mr. Mac and Cheeseburger pizzas. Their most popular pizza is The Rig so make sure to try one today!

#3: Lil Ava’s Pizza

Unit B 9803 93rd Avenue, Fort St John, BC

Since 2012, Lil Ava’s Pizza has offered delicious options with carefully picked spices and topped with love. Now, they have multiple locations across BC, Alberta, and the Northwest Territories to spread the taste of authentic pizza. Their best sellers include the House Special, the All Meat, and the Lil Ava’s Special.

#4: Soul Sweet Café & 250 Pizza

9905 100th Avenue, Fort St John, BC

Located in the heart of the city, Soul Sweet Café & 250 Pizza offers a taste of delicious pizzas, pasta, and more. Plus, they are one of the few places in Fort St John that offers pizza by the slice. They have the classics such as pepperoni and specialties such as the True Northern Canadian, the Chicken Bacon Ranch, and the 250 Loaded pizzas.

#5: Charlie Lake Pizza

12677 Charlie Lake Frontage Road, Charlie Lake, BC

As the only venue located outside of Fort St John, Charlie Lake Pizza offers a great option if you’re enjoying a nice day out on the lake or driving along the Alaska Highway. Along with the Charlie Lake General Store, they offer a wide variety of options for your next road trip or picnic. They have a Daily Family Special and their pizzas are made on handmade crust with a zesty homemade tomato sauce.
