(UPDATE) Wanted 43-year-old located and arrested

Fort St. John RCMP were searching for 43-year-old Ralph Junior Achla on multiple arrest warrants.

Update, July 17th, 9:20 a.m.: Achla has been arrested.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Police officers are searching for a 43-year-old man who is wanted on multiple warrants.

According to Fort St. John RCMP detachment, Ralph Junior Achla is wanted on warrants for uttering threats, obstruction of a peace officer, two counts of sexual assault, impaired operation of a conveyance and impaired operation of a conveyance over .08.

According to the Criminal Code of Canada, conveyance is defined as a motor vehicle, a vessel, an aircraft or railway equipment. 

Achla is described as an Indigenous male standing 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 166 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The detachment said Fort St. John and Halfway River First Nation are areas where Achla is known to attend.
