FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A small section of the Fort St. John Walmart has been blocked off to customers following what a manager described as a “small fire.”

Customers at the grocery store took to social media on Thursday, July 3rd asking about a section of the store that had been blocked off with yellow caution tape.

According to a manager who spoke with Energeticcity.ca over the phone, the area was blocked off as a result of a “small fire” that took place earlier in the day.

When Energeticcity.ca attended the store to confirm residents’ reports on social media, an employee could be seen in the blocked-off area scanning merchandise that had been damaged by the fire for inventory purposes.

The manager stressed to Energeticcity.ca the matter was “not serious” and the store was safe for all residents.
