Two hearings rescheduled for men facing robbery charges

The two individuals facing the most charges in connection with a February group arrest – Gavin Davis and Jack Capot Blanc – have had their next court dates scheduled.

Update, June 30th, 3:20 p.m.: Davis, Reno, Sherwood and Capot Blanc are all next set to appear in court on July 14th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The two individuals facing the most charges in connection with a February group arrest have had their next court dates scheduled.

Gavin Davis and Jack Capot Blanc are two people from a group of five arrested in February as part of an RCMP operation to recover a truck that had been reported as stolen.

Capot Blanc had an arraignment hearing scheduled for Monday, June 9th, while Davis was set to appear in court on Thursday, June 12th for a judicial interim release hearing.

Capot Blanc’s arraignment hearing is now scheduled for Monday, June 16th, according to Court Services Online (CSO).

Meanwhile, Davis has a hearing scheduled for the following day, June 17th, where CSO claims he intends to enter a plea for his remaining charges.

Davis currently faces charges of possession of stolen property, robbery, aggravated assault, breaching a release order, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and two counts of using an imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence.

Capot Blanc, meanwhile, has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, using an imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence, robbery, aggravated assault, possession of stolen property and breaching a probation order.

Two more individuals from the group of five arrested in February – Barbara Reno and Jakob Sherwood – also have arraignment hearings scheduled for Monday.

All charges against the fifth individual have been dropped in the months since their arrest.
