FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Fort Nelson Provincial Courts between May 26th and 30th.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, May 28th
Robert Allan Stanley Portman (born 1972):
Portman was found guilty of mischief $5,000 or under for an incident in Dawson Creek on July 8th, 2024. Portman was sentenced to one day in jail and received an 18-month probation order.
Portman was also issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for an incident in Dawson Creek on September 18th, 2024. If Portman fails to follow conditions laid out by the court, he must pay the $500.
Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, May 29th
Travis Colin McIsaac (born 1989):
Latest Stories
McIsaac was issued a $100 recognizance after the allegation for an incident in Fort Nelson on December 22nd, 2024. If McIsaac fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, he must pay the $100.
Randolf Gordon Underwood (born 1967):
Underwood was found guilty of assault for an incident in Fort Nelson on April 18th, 2024. Underwood was issued a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow, as well as an 18-month probation order. Underwood also received a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, May 30th
Adam Patrick Byrne (born 1984):
Byrne was found guilty of breaking and entering with the intent of committing an offence and mischief $5,000 or under, for an incident in Fort St. John on August 11th, 2022. Byrne was sentenced to a combined total of 200 days in jail.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, May 30th
Richard John Calliou (born 1973):
Calliou was found guilty of breaching a release order and possession of stolen property over $5,000 for incidents in Dawson Creek in December 2024 and January 2025.
In addition to jail time served, Calliou was issued an 18-month probation order and ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution, which requires the offender to pay the victim for financial losses the victim suffered because of the crime.
