Drivers warned of traffic circle closure coming to Dawson Creek

The traffic circle connecting Highway 2 (Alaska Avenue), Highway 49 and 8th Street in Dawson Creek will be closed on Tuesday, June 3rd, from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Paving work will see traffic disruption in Dawson Creek tomorrow. 

Argo Road Maintenance (South Peace) has warned drivers the traffic circle connecting Highway 2 (Alaska Avenue), Highway 49 and 8th Street in Dawson Creek will be closed on Tuesday, June 3rd, from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. to allow the roadwork to take place.

Local traffic should follow all diversion signs and instructions from on-site staff, and heavy trucks should bypass the area by using the Dangerous Goods Route, Rolla Road or 210th Road.

More paving work will also see single-lane alternating traffic along Alaska Avenue in the afternoon.
