Service Canada office to leave Northern Lights College

The Service Canada office at Northern Lights College is set to close at the end of May 2025 with operations moving to 100th Street.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Service Canada office at Northern Lights College (NLC) is set to close at the end of the month. 

According to Aleisha Hendry, creative team lead at NLC, the office had to leave due to upcoming renovations at the college. 

When asked for more details about these renovations by Energeticcity.ca, Hendry said she could not provide any more information.

The office will close on May 29th at 3:30 p.m. 

Operations will resume at Fort St. John’s other Service BC centre on June 3rd at 10 a.m.

This centre is located at the provincial courthouse at 10600 100th Street in Fort St. John.

Service Canada is run by the federal government and provides people access to programs such as employment insurance, pension plans and old age security.

In May, NLC sought funding from the Peace River Regional District for three new healthcare education programs.

Energeticcity.ca reached out to Service Canada for further comment but did not receive a response before publication.
