He told Energeticcity.ca people’s tastebuds and food are one of the easiest ways to celebrate multiculturalism.

“We are the faces of Fort St. John. We are celebrating multiculturalism,” said Yu. “What better way to encourage multiculturalism than exposing people to international food?”

New this year will be a Mexican and a Nigerian food truck. In addition, a Ukrainian vendor will also be serving dishes native to the European country.

Vendors serving Jamaican, Chinese and Filipino Food will also be on hand. Also new for 2025 will be the inclusion of performers, performing Latin and African dance numbers.

“We’ve had problems getting performers,” said Yu. “But this year, some Nigerian women and Latin dancers will be there.”

The Taste of Fort St. John International Food Festival will take place on Saturday, June 28th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fort St. John Curling Club at 9504 96th Street.
