Fort St John Today: Red Dress Day 2025
In this edition, learn more about Red Dress Day happening on May 5. Plus, events happening Apr 29-May 6, 2025

Hi everybody,
An important day coming up is Red Dress Day on May 5. Also known as a National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People, it honours and brings awareness to the thousands of Indigenous people who have been subject to disproportionate violence in Canada. On the most recent episode of Before the Peace, Chris was joined by Connie Greyeyes to learn more about the event, why it’s important, and how we can do more locally to support the community. You can listen now wherever you get your podcasts or click here. I encourage you to take a moment to attend any Red Dress Day events or to learn more about the reasons why this day is important.
