Officers identify homicide victim found in Dawson Creek as missing woman out of Fort St. John

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Human remains discovered in Dawson Creek have been identified as a missing woman out of Fort St. John. 

The Dawson Creek RCMP detachment has confirmed the death of Emily Ogden is being treated as a homicide, with a ‘suspicious death’ investigation launched by the E Division Major Crime Section. 

The 24-year-old’s body was was discovered in an unspecified location on Monday, April 14th.

She was reported missing out of Fort St. John on March 29th, 2025. 

Staff Sergeant Kris Clark of the BC RCMP said officers would like to hear from anyone who has information about Emily’s death, including if they saw or heard from her from the time she was reported missing to the discovery of her body.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700.
