MP election forum set to host four of five candidates

Four candidates of five in the MP race have confirmed their attendance for the Lido Theatre’s April 15th all-candidates forum in Fort St. John.

The Lido Theatre is set to host the Fort St. John’s all-candidates forum on April 15th at 7 p.m.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Four of the five candidates running for the northeast B.C. MP seat have confirmed their attendance for the Fort St. John all-candidates forum. 

The debate at the Lido Theatre in Fort St. John on April 15th is set to feature four of the candidates announced to be running for the Prince George, Peace River and Northern Rockies member of parliament seat in the 2025 Canadian federal election. 

David Watson of the People’s Party of Canada; Mary Forbes of the Green Party of Canada; Cory Longley of the New Democratic Party and incumbent MP Bob Zimmer of the Conservative Party of Canada have all confirmed they will be present on the stage for the forum.

The candidate for the Liberal Party, Peter Njenga, declined to attend. 

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the forum scheduled to start at 7 p.m. 

Residents can submit their questions ahead of time, and watch the forum online on Facebook or YouTube if unable to attend in person.

Early voting in the region opens on April 18th, and election day is April 28th
