RCMP to host recruitment events in Fort St. John next week
RCMP Recruiting will host a series of events for prospective police officers in Fort St. John from April 10th to 13th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Prospective future police officers in Fort St. John will have an opportunity soon to learn more about the job.
BC RCMP Recruiting has announced plans to visit the Energetic City from April 10th to 13th. This comes after the police force increased recruitment efforts in northern B.C. last year due to a significant number of open positions in the region.
According to a press release, on April 10th, officers will host a career presentation at Northern Lights College at 3:00 p.m.

The presentation will also include a question-and-answer period afterward for attendees interested in learning more about policing.
Following that, BC RCMP Recruiting will be at the Fort St. John Trade Show from April 11th to 13th to provide an introduction and walk anyone interested through the application process.
Lastly, on April 13th, recruitment officers will be giving a two-hour presentation at the Fort St. John RCMP detachment office starting at 6:00 p.m.
“This event will give you a chance to hear about the variety of opportunities within the RCMP and the details of the recruiting process, including requirements and expectations for applying to become a Mountie,” the press release reads.
