BC Transit announces detours for Southside, Southeast routes

BC Transit has announced a detour set to impact two Fort St. John routes starting April 15th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — BC Transit users in Fort St. John will be faced with some route detours for the coming weeks.

According to an April 1st press release, Route 2 Southside and Route 4 Southeast are being detoured around 89th Avenue beginning April 15th due to construction.

While the detours are in effect, both routes will be detoured between 86th Street and 78A Street, and three 89th Avenue bus stops will be closed, along with one on 76th Street and another on 91st Avenue.

Six temporary bus stops will be available at various spots along the detours instead.

The detour is set to last until October 15th.
