Taylor Fire Rescue to distribute free smoke detectors this weekend
Taylor Fire Rescue will be handing out free smoke alarms to residents on March 1st.

TAYLOR, B.C. — Taylor residents will have an opportunity to replace their old or outdated smoke detectors and get some new ones over the weekend.
The district has announced local firefighters will take to the streets on March 1st for its smoke detector program, going door-to-door within the district and offering residents two free smoke detectors.
“These can be used to add to your already installed detectors,” a post from the district reads, “or to replace outdated, dead or missing detectors.”
On social media, District of Taylor staff members say firefighters will be going door-to-door from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Taylor Fire Rescue will also give out smoke detectors on March 18th to any residents unable to receive them on the 1st.
Anyone with questions can contact the district’s municipal office by calling 250-789-3392.
