Motorists warned of upcoming 60-minute traffic delays through Pine Pass

Motorists planning to go through the Pine Pass on February 25th are being warned to expect significant delays

CHETWYND, B.C. — Motorists planning to go through the Pine Pass later this week are being warned to expect significant delays.

According to DriveBC, “avalanche control activity” is planned for Tuesday, February 25th along a 5.1-kilometre stretch of Highway 97 in the area between Powder King Road and Old Hasler Road.

The work is expected to last from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 25th. While it’s happening, motorists are being warned to expect a 60-minute delay in the area in both directions.
