RCMP lays charges against five individuals, one remains in custody
Charges have been confirmed for five people arrested in Fort St. John earlier this week.

UPDATE April 25th: In the time since this article was written, the crown has issued a stay of proceedings for all charges being faced by one of the individuals. We have updated the article below to remove their name.
Stays of proceedings were also issued for some of the charges faced by Jakob Sherwood, Barbara Reno, Gavin Davis, and Jack Capot Blanc.
All four of Sherwood, Reno, Davis and Capot Blanc still have outstanding charges. Sherwood and Reno have hearings scheduled for April 28th, while Davis’ next hearing is scheduled for May 1st and Capot Blanc’s is set for May 6th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Charges have been confirmed for five people arrested in Fort St. John earlier this week.
The five were arrested on February 19th by officers from the Fort St. John RCMP detachment and the RCMP’s Emergency Response Team as part of an operation to recover a stolen truck.
When the detachment issued a press release about the incident, all five individuals were still in police custody.
Gavin Davis, who was also arrested on outstanding warrants, is facing charges of possession of stolen property, robbery, aggravated assault, breaching a release order, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and two counts of using an imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence.

Meanwhile, another individual, Jack Capot Blanc, is facing charges of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, using an imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence, robbery, aggravated assault, possession of stolen property and breaching a probation order.
Barbara Reno is facing charges of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and possession of stolen property, and Jakob Sherwood is facing charges of robbery, aggravated assault and possession of stolen property.
One other individual was also charged initially by police, but all their charges were later dropped.
Sherwood and Reno have hearings scheduled for April 28th, while Davis’ next hearing is scheduled for May 1st and Capot Blanc’s is set for May 6th.
