Dawson Road Maintenance announces cleanup on Highway 97

Dawson Road Maintenance warns motorists of possible traffic delays as a cleanup is being conducted near Shepherd’s Inn on Highway 97.

CHARLIE LAKE, B.C. — Dawson Road Maintenance is warning North Peace residents of possible traffic delays on Highway 97 near the Shepherd’s Inn.

The inn is located roughly 42 kilometres north of Fort St. John. 

The company posted on social media that crews are conducting a cleanup at 10 a.m. on February 20th, with single-lane alternating traffic in effect.

An update at 10:40 a.m. says the cleanup is still in progress and the road is open.

Motorists are advised to slow down and drive safely.
