Houses evacuated in Prince George over ‘complaint’ to police

The Prince George RCMP evacuated several houses on the 1800th block of Croft Road, leading to one arrest.

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Several houses in Prince George were evacuated by police after officers received a “complaint”.

According to the detachment, the investigation began at 6:45 a.m. on February 3rd on the 1800th block of Croft Road.

Local police were quickly joined by the North District Emergency Response team.

“Nearby houses were evacuated for the safety of those in the homes; those people will now be allowed back into their residences,” says Corporal Jennifer Cooper, media relations officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The RCMP says it is concluding its investigations after arresting one man.

“Thankfully, no one was injured during this dynamic event. Police officers will remain in the area as they finalize their investigation,” Cooper concludes.

The RCMP detachment said it would not be releasing any further updates about this incident.
