Overnight maintenance on Taylor Bridge to cause delays

Motorists in Fort St. John and the North Peace are being warned by DriveBC to expect traffic delays on the Taylor Bridge soon.

TAYLOR, B.C. — North Peace motorists are being warned to expect traffic delays at the Taylor Bridge soon.

According to DriveBC, overnight bridge maintenance will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30th.

While the maintenance is happening, oversized loads will be unable to cross the bridge between 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.

The maintenance will occur from Thursday evening until the morning of Friday, January 31st. It will resume at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and continue until 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1st.

The bridge will also be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic during those hours.

This is the second time this month that bridge maintenance has led to late-night and early-morning traffic delays in Taylor.
